CONTEST RULES

Eligibility

This contest is available to all residents of Ontario who have reached the age of majority (18+) at the time of entry. Please note that Tamarack Home employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the contest. 

How to Enter

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the contest, each contestant must visit one of Tamarack Homes’ Sales Offices to provide their name, email address, and phone number. The contest begins on November 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. EST and ends on December 21, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. EST. Each contestant may enter the contest once during the contest period. By entering the contest, contestants agree that they have read and understood the Contest Rules herein.

Contestants must be present in the Sales Office to participate. They cannot enter the contest on behalf of a family member or relative who is not physically present in the Sales Office at the time of entry or doesn’t meet eligibility requirements.

Prize

There are four (4) prizes to be awarded, each consisting of a gift basket valued at approximately $200. Please note that one (1) gift basket will be awarded at each of Tamarack Homes’ four (4) Sales Offices. The prize must be accepted as awarded. 

No substitution of the prize is permitted by the contestants. Tamarack Homes reserves the right to substitute any item in the basket for another item of equal or greater value if an item cannot be awarded as described or is unavailable. The items shown in the basket are for illustration purposes only and may be substituted. Prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash or credit, in whole or in part. 

Tamarack Homes reserves the right to request the contestant's identification prior to the prize remittance.

Selection of Winners

A winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible contestants on December 21, 2024, after 4:00 p.m. EST. The draw will be witnessed by two Tamarack Homes’ employees to ensure fairness and impartiality. The odds of winning the prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received at each Sales Office before the contest closure. 

The prizes will be awarded to the winners once they have each been contacted by phone and/or email. If a selected winner cannot be reached within five (5) days of being chosen, or if the selected winner does not collect their prize within fifteen (15) days of being notified, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible winner. This process will continue until the prize has been claimed at each Sales Office.

Prize Claim

In order to be declared a winner and claim the prize, each contestant must meet the eligibility requirements above and correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind. Contestants must authorize Tamarack Homes to communicate with them via phone and/or email. Information provided by the contestant must be complete and accurate. If any of these conditions are not met, the selected contestant’s entry will be void, and a new draw will be conducted in accordance with the Contest Rules.

While contestants are encouraged to contribute to Tamarack Homes’ food drive, please note that donations to the Ottawa Food Bank are not a requirement to participate or to win the prize.

Privacy and Communications

By entering the contest, contestants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with the company’s Privacy Statement. Contestants may receive marketing materials and updates regarding the contest, which they can opt out of at any time. However, to remain eligible to win, contestants must continue to receive essential contest-related communications.

A list of winners will be posted on Tamarack Homes’ website, social media platforms, and intranet. By entering the contest, you consent to the disclosure of your name if you are selected as a winner.

The contest rules are subject to applicable laws in the province of Ontario. The contest is administered in compliance with applicable Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), Privacy (PIPEDA), and Competition and Criminal Laws.

Release

By participating in or attempting to participate in this contest, contestants release the contest organizers, their advertising and marketing consultants, employees, agents, representatives, and affiliate companies, as well as their shareholders, directors, and officers, from any liability for damages incurred due to their participation or attempted participation in the contest, without limiting the generality of the foregoing. For greater certainty, this release includes, but is not limited to, any claims arising from the quality, condition, or performance of the prize, which consists of a basket containing a supply of goods. The contest organizers do not provide any warranty, express or implied, with respect to quality, fitness or suitability for any particular purpose of the prize. We encourage winners to pay close attention to the items in the prize and to be aware of any potential allergens.

Social Media

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by any social media platforms on which the contest may have been promoted and/or publicized, including but not limited to Facebook and/or Instagram. Any personal information provided in connection with the contest is being provided to Tamarack Homes and not to Facebook and/or Instagram. Any questions or comments regarding the contest must be directed to Tamarack Homes and not to any of the social media platforms on which the contest may have been advertised or administered.
