In a time when phone numbers had but five digits, a home-building legacy was born. Harold Taggart began transforming streets in Eastern Ontario into homes for returning war veterans in 1948. A high standard was set from the beginning. More than just houses, they were where lives would unfold and futures be realized. They had to be the best.
Joining forces with Taggart Construction, itself an Ontario institution, the company grew in size and reputation to become The Taggart Group of Companies and Tamarack Homes. Driving through their communities more than half a century later you can still see the enduring pride of ownership made possible by a man who set new standards in quality construction and customer satisfaction.
Today, that proud legacy and dedication to excellence continues through the hands-on efforts of his family and Tamarack Homes. Each new home owner is assured the same quality craftsmanship and attention to detail that Harold insisted on.
